| Information about the Fire-Bellied Toad:The Fire-Bellied Toad, also known as the Oriental Fire-Bellied Toad, is native to the southern part of Russia into northeastern China and parts of Korea and Japan. This toad inhabits forests, open meadows, river valleys and swamps. They are generally found in slow moving waters such as lakes, ponds and steams and even occasionally in ditches and puddles. The toads feed on a variety of insects including flies, beetles and ants, but will also take worms and snails. Due to their color as ease of care these amphibians are very popular in the pet trade.
