Information about the Ovenbird:
The Ovenbird is a smallish songbird belonging to the
New World warbler family. These birds breed in mature and
mixed deciduous forests of North America, across Canada
and into the Eastern US. They migrate during the winter
to the Southeastern US, Mexico and into South America. Ovenbirds
forage for food on the ground in leaf litter, where it looks
for insects. The bird gets it's name from the ground based
nests it builds, which are domed with a side entrance and
woven from vegetation which somewhat resembles a Dutch oven.
