Artist's notes:
The
chameleon drawing was one of the earliest drawings. I believe
I completed in 1998 while I was living in Germany. The digital
tinting was added in 2007. I've drawn one other of these
lizards - a panther chameleon.

Information about the Jackson's Chameleon:
The Jackson's Chameleon is an African lizard consisting
of of three subspecies. They are native to the humid, cooler
regions of Kenya and Tanzania. They are smaller chameleons,
with adults generally growing to 12 inches. Only the males
have horns. They are very popular in the pet trade. Unlike
many of the chameleons they do not lay eggs but rather give
birth to 8-30 offspring.
