Artist's notes:
 This
picture was commissioned by a friend as a gift to commemorate
the passing of their pet. These fish are strangely compelling
in how odd they look - especially the mouth! The drawing
was really a lot of fun to do and my friend was happy with
the result.

Blood Parrot Cichlids are not a fish you can find in
the wild, but rather a hybrid created in Taiwan in the mid
80s. As such they do not have a binomial nomenclature or
Latin name.
