Artist's notes:
 Drawing
a big cat is always fun. Sometimes fur can be tricky for
me, but when it's short like this it usually turns out looking
good. This drawing was done in 2004 and the digital tinting
added in 2007.

Information about the African Leopard:
Leopards range throughout Africa and their fur color
can vary depending on the region. The black spots they have
are called 'rosettes' and both the males and females have
them and they are as unique to each leopard as fingerprints.
